Visiting the Center

We’d love to welcome you to the Center for Adventist Research. Click to see our hours of operation >>

During our regular hours, everyone is invited to explore our public spaces at their own pace. The Center’s museum exhibits are rich with explanatory text and are designed to invite visitors into a self-guided tour of Adventist history. In our Reading Room, visitors may view a replica of Ellen G. White’s Office Library as well as other historical artifacts on display. Don’t forget to shop our used book sale or pick up a souvenir from our museum store.

Orientations and guided tours are available by request. We ask that tour requests be submitted at least seven days in advance. Tours are typically offered in English, though other languages may occasionally be available depending on staff availability. Tours outside of our public hours may or may not be possible. Please complete the Tour Request Form to start a conversation.

Center Tour Request Form

Our museum is always open during our regular hours. While we design our exhibits to be self-explanatory, Center staff can provide you or your group with a brief orientation to our exhibits. Visitors or groups who desire a more in-depth, guided experience may use this form to request a tour. School groups, as well as larger out of state and international groups, may also use this form to request a tour of the Center for Adventist Research.

For the safety of our collections, tours do not include the closed stacks or vault area. Staff may retrieve materials from secure storage for supervised viewing in the reading room. Guests are encouraged to request specific items or to enjoy a general “show and tell” featuring highlights from the Center’s collections. We are always happy to bring out “The Big Bible”—a Bible of the same edition (size and weight) as the one Ellen White held in vision—and samples of Mrs. White’s handwriting for you to view and hold.

Please fill in your details in the Tour Request Form below. We ask that requests be submitted at least seven (7) business days prior to the requested tour date.
