Directions to the Center
Andrews University is located in rural southwestern Michigan. Berrien Springs is between St. Joseph and Niles on Michigan route 139. The closest larger city is South Bend, Indiana, being about 20 miles south of Berrien Springs. Greyhound buses serve the nearby town of Benton Harbor, just 12 miles from the campus. You may also take the Amtrak train; the closest station is Niles, 15 minutes from campus. South Bend, Indiana, also has Amtrak service.
If you fly to Andrews, the closest airport is South Bend Regional Airport (SBN). Many students, friends, and visitors of Andrews also fly into the Chicago O’Hare (ORD) or Midway (MDW) airport and then take the Coach USA bus service to the nearby South Bend, Indiana, airport. From there you may rent a car or make other arrangements. The Andrews University Transportation Department does pickup up visitors to Andrews from the South Bend airport.
Driving Directions
FROM THE NORTH AND WEST
Take I-94 to exit 28.
Take US 31 south approximately 11 miles to Berrien Springs.
Exit at the Berrien Springs interchange and turn left. Go about one mile.
Turn left at J. N. Andrews Blvd.
FROM THE EAST
Take the Indiana Toll Road (I80/90) to the South Bend west exit.
Take US 31 north approximately 15 miles to Berrien Springs.
Take exit 15A; turn right at the stop sign.
Go about a mile, then turn left at J. N. Andrews Blvd.
FROM THE SOUTH
Take US 31 north to Berrien Springs, located about 15 miles north of the Indiana border.
Take exit 15A; turn right at the stop sign.
Go about a mile, then turn left at J. N. Andrews Blvd.
After You Are On Campus
There is visitor parking in the large parking lot next to the Library. Visitor parking is also available next to Chan Shun Hall. Please consult the available campus map to locate the Library [lower center area on the campus map] and suitable parking-lot for visitor’s parking. Parking permits are required to park on the campus, are free of charge to visitors, and can be obtained from Campus Safety office upon arrival on campus or through the Center if information is provided to us ahead of your arrival. Your vehicle will be ticketed if it does not display a parking permit.
The Center for Adventist Research is on the lower level of the James White Library. When you exit the main stairwell the Center will be in front and to your right.
