Title: | Andrews University Science Complex (Construction) |
Description: | Ceilings in the new science complex at Andrews University will have this sculptured appearance, due tot he construction method being employed. Concrete is poured over and between inverted fiberglass pans, making a 5-inch thick ceiling with 14-inch beams beneath. This results in a very pleasing appearance, says construction superintendent Richard Ekkesn, since most of these beams will be exposed to view when the building is completed. |
